Training Philosophy: Bodybuilding is my meditation. And I believe that prioritizing health and fitness is the ultimate act of “self care.” It is also the fountain of youth. I love feeling strong and confident and forever challenging myself through exercise. And I am passionate about helping others fall in love with exercise too via creating them customized workouts that are challenging but also super fun.
Why did you become a personal trainer?
I dated a personal trainer for four years who always said I’d do well at bikini competitions. And after I found out he was cheating on me, I broke up with him and started training for my first bikini competition which I ended up winning first place. I then started a fitness blog which turned into a coaching business and here I am 11 years later, still training others and loving every minute of it! So thank you, horrible ex-boyfriend for that at least. 😉
What do you enjoy most about being a personal trainer?
I love helping other people feel better. Whether it’s coaching them to the stage or just feeling more comfortable in a pair of shorts, it’s a very rewarding job to be able to help others look and feel better.
Why did you choose to work with Vitality Fitness at this point in your career?
I was really intrigued by the EMS technology. I had heard about its usage in spas for cellulite/belly fat reduction or via physiotherapists for rehab purposes. But never had I heard of it being used as a full body workout. So naturally, I wanted in on the action!
Notable Client Success Stories: I coached the grand prize winner of Bodybuilding.com’s $200,000 12-Week Transformation Challenge in 2015, beating out 345,000 contestants worldwide. And then in 2018, I coached the grand prize winner of Lee Labrada’s Lean Body Challenge who also beat out thousands of contestants worldwide.
2013: Won first-place in my first-ever bikini competition (BCBBA) in Vancouver, BC
2014: Won my WNBF pro card in Austin, TX making me the first-ever vegan world naturals bikini pro
2019: Published my first cookbook “The Vegan Bodybuilder’s Cookbook” which has now has over 600 reviews on Amazon and a 4.4 star rating.

Hobbies and Interests Outside of Fitness: I have a blog and podcast and an amazing six-year-old son. I’m also a foster mom to elderly cats. I love to cook, pamper myself, go for hikes and bike rides and have gotten pretty into canning and pickling in recent years.
Favourite Healthy Foods: Tofu Scramble, my homemade Quinoa Bread, Smoothies, Lenny & Larry’s Protein Cookies and Taco Salads.
